A new section for SMEs and entrepreneurs on the SPTO website
To meet its commitment to support business and entrepreneurs, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) has created a new section to provide information on Industrial Property to these professional areas.
The aim is to answer the questions that are most frequently asked by SMEs when they first approach the world of Industrial Property. The subject is divided into several areas:
- Basic concepts on the different types of protection: Patents, Utility Models, Trademarks and Industrial Designs.
- Important advice for exporters.
- Methods of making Industry Property titles pay for themselves.
- SPTO services available to SMEs and entrepreneurs.
The section also offers information on aid and public funding for SMEs, with news, events, publications and training on IP for businesses.
During its first three weeks, this service has received a total of 2,727 visits, pointing to the interest aroused by this topic in a segment of the business world that is essential for the Spanish national economy.
