With over 700 exhibitors form 45 countries and 62,000 visitors, this exhibition is considered a landmark in the world of innovation

 

43rd edition of the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2015



From 15 to 19 April, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) participated in the 43rd International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva. With over 700 exhibitors form 45 countries and 62,000 visitors, this exhibition is considered a landmark in the world of innovation. Every year, 1,000 unpublished inventions are presented there by businesses, researchers, inventors, universities and public and private bodies.

At this year’s edition, the SPTO Award was granted to AVANTPACK for its LOGICPALET, ‘a mountable and removable mono-material logical pallet’, and the García Cabrerizo Award went to Yeray Suárez González for his ‘Lightweight door and hinge system’. Both these award-winners also received Gold Medals from the exhibition with Special Congratulations from the Jury.

In addition to these awards, the Spanish delegation also received:

    - Gold medal with Special Congratulations from the Jury for Miguel Domínguez de Vidaurreta Mendinueta for his ‘Helix-shaped lawnmower blade’.

    - A silver medal went to Inés Martín Durán and Juan María Fajardo Utrilla for their ‘TRAGASOL: Set of folding sun-shades for vehicles’.

    - Bronze medal winners included Tomás Mentxaka Santorcuato and Francisco Montserrat Rovira for their ‘Portable BBQ grid’ and Carles Vilá Mercader for his 'Safety system for cyclists on the road’.
