Learn while you play with ‘The Trademark Path’

To help children discover the importance of trade marks, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) and the Association for the Defence of Trademarks (ANDEMA) have designed a board game called ‘The Trademark Path.

Using the board and a dice, players have to place their coloured counters at each of the points of the hexagon. The circle at these points represents one stage in the process for obtaining a trademark: create it, clarify it, search for it, apply for it, pay for it, and DON’T COPY! Each player is a different character (inventor, entrepreneur, artist, designer, etc.) and has counters of a specific colour associated with that character.

Everything you need to play the game (the board, characters and counters) can be downloaded and/or printed free of charge from the SPTO website, under the section Industrial Property classroom (Teaching Materials). Then all you need to find is a dice.

Fancy a game? Try it, and you’ll have fun.
