Publication of IPC 2026.01 in SpanishPublication of IPC 2026.01 in Spanish The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) has published the new version of the International Patent Classification (IPC) translated into Spanish, accessible via the following link: IPC 2026.01 in Spanish The IPC is subject to continuous review and an updated version is published annually, which comes into force on January 1 of each year. The original publication is carried out by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in two versions of the IPC, in French and English. Among the new features of version 2026 are those related to section H, such as the creation of subclasses H10P and H10W, which cover processes, apparatus for manufacturing, and other construction details on semiconductor devices; the deletion of subclass H01L; a major restructuring in subclass H02J, covering networks and systems for electrical energy storage; and the creation of the following main groups: H10B 80/00, H10D 80/00, H10D 87/00, H10D 88/00, H10D 89/00, H10K 19/00, and H10N 19/00. As for the other sections, the most notable changes are in groups F26B 21/00 and G06T 11/00, as well as the creation of the main group G06T 12/00.
