Disclosed herein are systems and methods for predicting the probability of an inventory-not-found occurrence during fulfillment of an order, and for utilizing that predicted probability to improve order allocation applications and inventory systems. The disclosed systems and methods utilize machine learning predictive models to determine and score fulfillment performance of individual nodes by predicting their likelihood of an inventory-not-found event. At least some data received at the machine learning predictive application may be realtime data to reflect current conditions. In some examples, some data received at the machine learning application may be pre-computed data. The machine learning models generated by training at the machine learning application may include individual models used for different item categories. In some examples, a threshold suppression amount is utilized to adjust an amount of available inventory utilized to provide item availability (i.e. availability to place an order online) to a customer.

A system and method for centralized, automated procurement across multiple supplier platforms is disclosed. The centralized, mobile-optimized procurement system and process synchronizes in real-time with multiple supplier platforms, consolidates purchasing workflows, and supports intelligent decision-making through rule-based and AI-enhanced features. The disclosed system and method address inefficiencies in traditional procurement processes by introducing a centralized platform that aggregates supplier data, synchronizes inventory and pricing in real time, and enables automated order placement through intelligent agents. These agents, acting on behalf of the user, log into supplier websites using dedicated credentials and execute transactions without requiring supplier-side integration. The system maintains segmented data silos to ensure confidentiality across clients and suppliers, and supports dynamic cart management, including error handling, substitution recommendations, and business rule enforcement. Additionally, the platform is optimized for mobile use, overcoming limitations of conventional punch-out systems, and integrates with enterprise resource planning systems to provide real-time budget visibility.

Enriched presentation and waste reduction techniques for the autonomous provisioning of goods and services are described. In one or more implementations, a promotion pod of a system includes a display screen for multimedia content, a presentation surface for a particular item, and lights to illuminate the presentation surface or the item displayed thereon. A processor is configured to control each system component of the promotion pod to provide a presentation environment for a particular item. For example, the processor controls the display screens to display promotional multimedia associated with the item. In some examples, the item is displayed without packaging (e.g., shoes are displayed without a shoebox). In this way, nearby pedestrians are provided an enriched, interactive experience and may purchase products in person with reduced or no packaging.

In an example implementation, a cloud computing platform receives input data including historical data representing a plurality of first items and a plurality of stores associated with the plurality of first items, and generates a plurality of first data structures. Further, the system uses an artificial intelligence (AI) system to adaptively cluster the first data structures according to item metrics into a plurality of clusters, and classify a plurality of second items into the plurality of clusters based on the centroids. Further, the system determines, using a predictive computer model, a markdown plan for at least one of the first items or the second items associated with that cluster, and optimizes the markdown plan using mix integer programming.

An online system uses a trained model for intelligent handling of unclaimed online pickup orders. After identifying that an order placed by a user of the online system is unclaimed at a location of a source, the online system obtains, from a device of a picker associated with the online system and/or a device associated with the source, signals with information about each item in each bundle of the unclaimed order. The online system applies the trained model to identify, based on the obtained signals, a preferred method for disposal of each bundle. Based on the identified preferred method for disposal of each bundle, the online system generates a disposal decision signal and communicates the disposal decision signal to the device associated with the source that prompts personnel at the location of the source to dispose each bundle of the unclaimed order using the identified preferred disposal method.
